A big well done to the Oak Class girls who went to the football tournament at the Marches School today. After narrowly losing the opening two games 1-0 and 2-0, they went into the certificate round to face Ellesmere and Criftins. They beat Ellesmere 1-0 and drew 0-0 against Criftins which meant they finished 1st in the certificate group!
Well done girls!
Well done to our school representative for the winter School Games Level 3 tournament. He finished 4th from North Shropshire and 10th out of the whole of Shropshire. The North Shropshire cross country team also finished first in their year group.
School Games Level 1 Basketball Tournament - 16/01/19
On Wednesday we went to a year 5 and 6 basketball tournament and we came out on top! We had 3 other teams in our pool, the teams were: Whittington, Meadows and Trefonen. We played Whittington first and beat them 8-2 and then we played meadows and lost 4-0 but we were controlling the game and we had loads of shots which were all on target but the hoops were against usLL. We then beat Trefonen 6-0. We qualified for the cup rounds and we played Meadows again and smashed them 4-0 and then we played Bryn Offa and beat them 8-4. Then it came to playing our federation school Criftins and we beat them 4-0 and that meant we had won the cup for a first time in 12 years!!!
We just want to say a huge thank you to Mr Wedley for taking us thereJJJ

Well done to the Year 5&6's who went to the Level 1 hockey tournament yesterday. The children did really well, despite losing their opening two group games, went on to compete for certificates and eventually finished 2nd in the certificate group.
Also a big thank you to Mrs Twigg who took them there.
Tag Rugby Level 1 School Games tournament 7/11/18
Well done to the children who took part in the School Games level 1 tournament at Oswestry Rugby Club on Wednesday. It was an extremely competitive event. They won 2 games and lost 2 games during the group stages which unfortunately wasn't enough to see them progress into the semi-finals. However, we have been informed that we were able to make it through to the level 2 tournament, which will be taking place in February.
