Autumn 2018

A surprise breakfast off our class elf to celebrate us being so good this year! 🎄

This week, we spent time researching the history of our local area. We loved looking for shapes and patterns in old & new maps!

Ready for our daily mile!

What's the time Mr Wolf?

Year one children used clocks to make the time Mr Wolf said and reception children showed the numbers on their fingers and counted their steps. We all love this game!

Future Lionel Messis and Kelly Smiths!

This week, we have been learning about seasonal changes. We read Leaf Man and went on a treasure hunt to find natural materials to make our own leaf men, women, and animals.

This week, we investigated colour at Forest School (and ate our tasty oat biscuits made by our own fair hands).

Oh no! The Big Bad Wolf blew our phonics leaves away!

What a bad wolf! Let's hope we catch him soon!

Building an indestructible house to protect the three little pigs.

We worked together to create a story walk to send to Mother Pig and let her know what's happened to her poor little pigs!

Our Victorian schoolchildren looking particularly smart!

We bake our own snack every week in Chestnut Class. This week, we baked mini Victoria sponges in homage to Queen Victoria.

We LOVE our PE lessons with Mr Hughes!

Bob and Jeff visited Chestnut Class today. They were very well behaved!

Our first Victorian school lesson. The teacher looks a bit strict!

It's puzzle time!

Our first forest school session in Chestnut Class!

The next generation Picassos!

Our daily funky fingers session. Great fine motor skill practice to some funky 70s disco tunes!

The best thing about new furniture: cardboard boxes!

From field to fork! We love growing our own vegetables and the whole school loved our marrow flapjacks! Thank you for baking them, Margaret!

Our first day of school!

Our first day in reception and year one!
