The whole school from Reception to Year 6, including staff, took part in the National Santa Dash. This took place on the 11th December when we joined thousands from across the country for the School Games Virtual Santa Dash.
This half term we have been taking part in the School Games 15 minute challenge - each week the children from Class2, 3 and 4 have been using their Daily Mile time to run/walk for 15 minutes. We have recorded their distances each week and noted individual improvements from November to the end of term - it has been great to see how many children have improved on the distance they have run and so we are aiming to continue this challenge during the rest of the school year. Certificates were awarded for those who had improved the most.

School Games 2020/21
Although we are unable to go out of school to compete in sports events at the moment we are lucky enough to have our School Games Organiser and School Cluster Organiser arrange events whereby we take part in school and then send in our results - these competitions include all our Key Stage children from Year 3 to Year 6.
The first event is the Primary School Challenge which involves a Shuttle Run and a Standing Long Jump competition which we have begun to collect scores for in school, our second event is New Age Kurling which will soon be starting in school. Our third event is the Back to School Games Competition organised by our North Shropshire SGO Mollie Croxon. The results of this will be entered online to a regional (North Shropshire), County and National School Games competition.
