Hello everyone,
It was lovely catching up with a few of you yesterday. Good to hear that you are staying safe, well, and busy.
Learning from home can be hard. Reading at home is not something that we all find easy, but reading for pleasure is such a wonderful skill to have. The more we read, the more likely we are to gain this skill for life, and the more we will enjoy reading. Reading at any time of the day, helps with memory, problem solving, imagination, speaking, and writing skills too.
Reading in your head, or to a teddy, before you go to sleep, is a great way to relax. It can help you to sleep well and you may even have some amazing dreams.
Being read to is also the perfect way to improve listening and concentration. I have added below, a link to some FREE, audible stories, recommended by Mrs Long. Please give this a try, there are lots to choose from. An online 'Book Group' would be a nice way to meet up with friends from school. I know a lot of you are missing each other.
Perhaps a group of you could get together online, at the same time and day, to listen to the same story?
Send in your videos if possible. I am available if you would like help or input.
