Year 3’s had a wonderful afternoon at Shrewsbury sports village taking part in lots of different games. We were joined by some Criftins year 3’s and made new friends.
It was a non competitive event so there were no winners or losers, just lots of fun. Everyone showed all 6 of the school games values of teamwork, determination, honesty, respect, passion and self belief.
We even had time for a bit of reading during our break too (by own choice!)
Some year 2’s had a great morning at KS1 Athletics. Everyone had a go at all field and track events including Standing long jump, target throw, javelin, seated throw and speed bounce, sprints and relays.
We were very proud to come in 2nd place.
A team of 8 year 3&4s had a great time at The dodgeball tournament this afternoon. We played 10 matches and only lost 2, both to Whittington who went on to be the champions leaving us to bring home silver in 2nd place. All of the children’s behaviour and sportsmanship was outstanding!
