Cockshutt CE Primary School & Nursery

Safeguarding

'Safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children is everyone's responsibility. Everyone who comes into contact with children and their families has a role to play.' (KCSIE  2023)

At Cockshutt CE Primary School & Nursery we believe that it is always unacceptable for a child or young person to experience abuse of any kind and recognise that safeguarding the welfare of all children and young people is everyone’s responsibility. We follow Shropshire Safeguarding Community Partnership (SSCP) procedures and acknowledge that the welfare of the child is paramount.  As a Church of England Primary School we believe that every child matters and that everyone has the right to be heard.

As a safeguarding team we take advice from all of our local partners, and national safeguarding organisations. Please use the external links for more information.  Follow the links below for advice on how to support your child.
Operation Encompass is a charitable organisation set up in 2011, which has since enabled effective interventions to many thousands of children who've experienced domestic abuse. The creators of Operation Encompass are working tirelessly to ensure that police and schools throughout the country are able to address victims of domestic abuse consistently and coherently.
