Happy Red Nose Day from Chestnut Class ❤️

In RE, we have been learning about the Holy Week in the lead up to Easter. We recreated Maundy Thursday this week. We dressed up as Jesus' disciples and sat around a banquet table. Jesus washed Peter's feet to show he was no more important than anybody else and shared a plate of food with Judas (who would betray him). We then ate bread to represent Jesus' bones and drank wine (juice) to represent Jesus' blood for the Last Supper. It’s safe to say the children weren’t too impressed by the prospect of drinking blood and eating bones though!

We’re going on a 3D shape hunt!

We began learning about the Holy Week, starting with Palm Sunday. Why not ask your child what “Hosanna” means?

It is so lovely to be back working together in Maths lessons! Today, we have been ordering numbers to 50 and investigating the properties of 3D shapes.

We have had an amazing first day back! I don’t think I’ve ever seen such happy children! We have explored, talked and played together. We also found a mysterious breadcrumb trail on the field.
