Proud congratulations to our amazing team of Rest Easy Ambassadors. The children were delighted to be handed the Silver Award Certificate and Trophy from Emily Gearing, the founder of the Rest Easy method.
Emily was so impressed with the plans suggested by the team, including creating a video of the Rest Easy zones, making new zones, book marks and activities for all of the children to use.
The team will also be presenting a short Rest Easy video in the very near future.
At the end of last term we created a video with the Energize team explaining how amazing it has been to be part of the pilot for creating an active school. The whole Cockshutt team has been working hard to encourage activity within lessons and at playtime and lunchtime. We will continue to be a part of this scheme and have many exciting ideas linked to making us more active this year. Take a look at the videos to see what we have achieved so far!

We have recently launched our Lego club on a Tuesday lunchtime. The children from reception to Year 6 have been creating some fantastic structures and collaborating on their designs.
Some of the fantastic designs include; marble runs, military hideouts, building their initials out of Lego, farmyards and boats.
Today we joined in with national fitness day by having a house dodgeball competition. It was great fun and the winners will be revealed on Friday! We also explored lots of other types of fitness activities, from just dance, Jo Wicks workouts and a game of air hockey where we developed our core muscles by playing the game in plank position!
Today we had a marvellous time at the curling competition. It’s a tricky game and all about tactics! We came third in our group.
Well done to our children today with all the super entries to the Horticultural Show. Well done to those who won a prize. We love our village 😊
