Our kitchen elves have been busy again making the hall festive for the children. This year we have our own version of The Twelve Days of Christmas.
Wow what a fabulous turn out to community lunch today. 24 visitors for Christmas lunch. Thank you to everyone for the £47 raised by the raffle for the benefit of our children.

What a good turn out we had for Christmas jumper day today in aid of Save the Children.
The children are beginning to get in the Christmas spirit.
Today we competed at the first ever primary school badminton competition. It was amazing. The focus and concentration was intense and we came away with third place! The children enjoyed this sport so much that they want to begin a lunchtime club after Christmas!
Today we welcomed the parents from Little Chestnut to the forest for lots of Christmas fun! We made wreaths, reindeer food and nature Christmas jumpers!
What a fabulous variety of shoes were worn to school today ranging from wellies to crocs, to flip flops and funky shoes.
Last week the children were visited in assembly by The Leprosy Mission and learnt a lot about the disease. In order to raise awareness and fundraiser we took part in an Odd Shoes Day Tuesday. We had a fantastic turn out.
Chestnut class had the task of decorating the tree this year. I am sure you will agree it is very festive!
Ash class went on a school trip to Llangollen as part of their History topic this term- 'Transport from the past'. We visited Llangollen Wharf and Heritage Railway and we had a wonderful day. We had a trip on a horse drawn boat, ate our lunch on a Christmas boat and later visited the railway where we were lucky enough to have a tour of the workshop.
