Cockshutt CE Primary School & Nursery

Mental Health and Well Being

The Coronavirus (Covid-19) outbreak continues to steer the course of our daily lives.  The changing guidance and directives can impact our emotional well-being.  It is important to remember that feeling like this is okay.

During these very uncertain times, children may become more anxious.  They may have trouble sleeping, appear sad, feel overwhelmed, or need extra reassurance.  Talking to a trusted member of staff can help to minimise the impact this may have on their school day.

At Cockshutt C of E Primary we know that each child reacts differently to every event.  With this in mind we have a wide range of up to date programmes, and resources that are tailored and adapted to support their unique experience.

Currently, our Learning Mentor Mrs Becky Hedley, is available for children who may need extra time to talk.  Face to face sessions are currently limited to 15 minutes, and will be in a well ventilated room, with hand sanitiser and maintaining social distance at all times.

For further details or if you have any concerns, or need any further information, feel free to contact our Learning Mentor using the form below.
