Fizzgigs, Ellesmere Community Arts Group.

In the summer of 2021, they created the Magical Plantation Trail. This year, Fairy Folk will appear along the trail.  We are inviting people, especially accompanied children, to visit Ellesmere's Plantation Wood and glimpse them all.

The trail can be followed from Saturday 20th July right through to the end of the summer holidays (see poster below).

They also wanted to remind parents and carers about the community fairies which they launched way back in March. They put together kits of materials to make them and about 80 kits were given out.  Completed fairies can be handed in at Our Space (the library) any time soon.  See below a picture of a fairy made by a very young child for reference.  Any partly completed fairies may also be able to be finished by one of our group!  All the community fairies will be on display in the Wood alongside the big ones.

Leaflets about the trail will be available from Moolah, the local library and a special dispenser at the main entrance to Plantation Wood.

A NEW creative club for young people aged 6-13

Saturdays 10-12

Starts 13th July

at Babbinswood Farm (near Oswestry/Whittington)

https://maps.app.goo.gl/y6SHSonvjKEMa248A

Come and explore a MULTIVERSE of possibilities. There will be activities using natural and reused materials emerging from YOUR ideas and interests - Den Building, Drawing, Sculpture, Architecture, Craft, Sound and Film + much more… Supported by experienced artists.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

Parents/carers will need to stay for the workshop. However, you will not need to supervise other than to accompany your children to the toilets. This is because of the distance of the toilet from the creative space. We will be building a new compost toilet closer to the space. And when this happens we will be able to reassess these arrangements. Parents/Carers are VERY welcome to get creative as well.
