Wild World Heroes - Summer Reading Challenge

Please find below information from Oswestry Library:

The summer holidays are almost upon us which means it will soon be time for the Reading Agency’s Summer Reading Challenge:

Summer Reading Challenge 2020: Wild World Heroes  (Saturday 10th July – Saturday 18th September)

Children's reading can 'dip' during the summer holidays if they don't have regular access to books and encouragement to read for pleasure. The annual Summer Reading Challenge helps over three quarters of a million children each year to keep up their reading skills and confidence by visiting the library and joining the challenge. Children are challenged to read 6 books over the summer collecting stickers and incentives along the way. If children complete the challenge, they will receive a medal and a certificate.

Arts Award Discover

Shropshire Libraries will also be offering children the opportunity to earn a qualification alongside the Summer Reading Challenge.

Children can sign up online to work towards their Arts Award Discover over the summer holidays, this is great opportunity for children who love art.

For more information contact

This arts challenge, children will receive a certificate from Trinity College London. Sign-up for Arts Award costs just £5 per child.

Wild World Heroes Sign-up for is free.
