Comments by parents/carers:

  •  The school is very safe, the teachers look after the children brilliantly, make them feel safe and want to try their best to teach each and every child.

  • I love that all teachers know every child, and make them feel safe, wanted and motivated to do their best.

  • Sometimes it would help to have a little more information on any day-to-day class activities which may need parental input (non-uniform days, world book days etc....).  You can't always rely on a five year old to pass the message on.

Comments by parents

  • Thank to everyone for all your care and support for my child.  She has had a wonderful time at Cockshutt Primary School and has many happy memories.

  • After living away for one year we were so pleased to be able to bring our child back to Cockshutt School. It’s a wonderful school and has come on leaps and bounds in the last two years.  All the staff are so nice, and they are a great team.  The school has a wonderful community and family feel.

Comments by parents

  • Nursery parent – The questions we have left blank, we feel it is to early to say that the moment (only been in school a few weeks).

Other Comments

  • We can see lots of improvement over the last year e.g. in communication with parents, aspirations for the pupils, Mathswhizz and the environment.  Thank you for all your hard work and enthusiasm.

  • Father concerned that children can play near the tree on playground when windy – schools response:  when there are high winds the children stay off the playground. The trees are officially checked every three years by instruction of the church as they are on the church land. This area of health and safety is also covered during our annual safer schools update.
