PURPOSE OF STUDY
Music is a universal language that embodies one of the highest forms of creativity. A high-quality music education should engage and inspire pupils to develop a love of music and their talent as musicians, and so increase their self-confidence, creativity and sense of achievement. As pupils progress, they should develop a critical engagement with music, allowing them to compose, and to listen with discrimination to the best in the musical canon.
Normally each year Shropshire Music Service visit school for Live Music Week, where they play a selection of music for us to enjoy. As they can not visit this year they filmed the event for us to enjoy virtually. It was a wonderful performance which had all of the children singing and dancing along. We also had a virtual interview with a pianist from Shropshire Music Service which gave the children the opportunity to asked some great questions. Have a look in the video resource library to watch a clip from the event.
We are so pleased to have Mr Kitcher from Shropshire Music Service back this year teaching us singing and the ukulele.
