It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas.........🦌🎄

We have started to get Christmassy down at forest school his week by making some reindeer’s out of willow.

In science we have been looking at the bones which make a human skeleton.

It was a very cold and snowy forest school this week so we had a think about the birds and decided to make them some food balls. Then we had lots of fun slipping and sliding in the snow.

Music

Ash class had there first music lesson with Mr Kitcher this week. He was blown away with their rhythm.

Forest school

At forest school this week, we made some poppies ready to take over to the cenotaph on Remembrance Day.

Author visit

We had a lovely visit from author, Sarah Wynne. She spoke about how she became an author and then we had a go at planning our own stories.

We have had a very messy afternoon having a go at some Banksy inspired graffiti.

Forest school treat

For our D&T topic this term, we have designed and made fruit kebabs. We enjoyed making them but enjoyed eating them even more. They were delicious!!

World mental health day

We have been learning about the 5 food groups and 7 nutrients in Science. We have played bingo, made food plates and pyramids and enjoyed looking at what makes a healthy diet!

We have been practicing our chopping skills using the claw and bridge methods.

We worked in teams to sort our food packages in to groups, deciding if they were healthy or unhealthy foods.

We have been learning about the 5 main food groups in science today.

We have had a fantastic first week in Ash class, enjoying lots of fun activities to settle us back in to school. We have had a scavenger hunt and learnt about prepositions in English, Singing a new song in music as well as a pairing game in maths.
