Our Journey Days have had to change a little due to current restrictions with mixing children. However in our Federation we see every hurdle as an opportunity. This year we are taking time to think about what motivates and enables people to do good in society. We will be digging deeper (in our class groups) into the nine fruits of the spirit outlined in Galatians 5v22. We will be looking at the life, sayings and actions of Mother Teresa who devoted her life to the poor, and we will be searching the Bible to find stories which help us understand how people develop these ‘fruits’ in their lives.
Every Journey Day we take time to consider what each set of teaching might mean for us personally. In school we have a strong set of values and we hope that through by exploring the output of those values in our lives we can help our pupils to think deeper about the kind of individual they want to be. We have benefited so much during these difficult times from the dedication of so many individuals who have worked tirelessly to keep our country going during this pandemic. We want our children to see that they are the future and that one day they too might be required to support those in need. If we all exercised the fruits of the spirit in our lives how amazing would our communities be - love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control.
