Min-Y-Don 2025

Oak Class Residential Trip to Min-Y-Don

What an unforgettable week we’ve had at Min-Y-Don! Our incredible adventure was packed with excitement, challenges, and plenty of fun. The children showed outstanding perseverance, courage, and teamwork throughout the trip, and we couldn’t be prouder of them.

Day One
We arrived full of excitement and got straight into action with high ropes. It was amazing to see the children pushing themselves out of their comfort zones, climbing higher than they thought possible and cheering each other on.

Day Two
The morning was spent testing our aim with archery, and in the afternoon, we took on the challenge of abseiling. It was fantastic to see so many children conquer their nerves and take that leap of faith down the wall!

Day Three
A busy day filled with adventure! We tackled trial bikes, took to the water for kayaking, and finished with the low ropes course, where teamwork was key. Everyone gave their best effort, and we were so impressed by their determination.

Day Four
A true outdoor survival day! We learned bushcraft skills, lighting fires and filtering water in the wilderness. Then came zip-lining and rock climbing, where the children amazed us once again with their bravery. In the evening, we gathered around the bonfire for a special night line activity, making memories that will last a lifetime.

Day Five
On our final morning, we completed an orienteering challenge around the centre, putting our map-reading skills to the test. Then it was time to pack up, say goodbye to Min-Y-Don, and head home, tired but full of incredible stories to tell.

huge thank you to Mrs Edwards for staying with us for the whole week—we couldn’t have done it without her! Most of all, well done to all the children for embracing every challenge with such determination. You were a pleasure to spend time with, and we are so proud of you!

What a week to remember!
