Ash class went on a school trip to Llangollen as part of their History topic this term- 'Transport from the past'. We visited Llangollen Wharf and Heritage Railway and we had a wonderful day. We had a trip on a horse drawn boat, ate our lunch on a Christmas boat and later visited the railway where we were lucky enough to have a tour of the workshop.

A huge thank you to our PTA for organising a wonderful Christmas Fair, we raised an impressive £347. It was lovely to see the children so excited to visit Santa.
Cockshutt’s and Criftins’ Safety Squad met up in person this afternoon. The group talked about their ideas for the next topic to be covered. Both groups came up with some great ideas, and demonstrated the power and creativity of their collective voices. Each child designed their own Safety Squad logo, which will be used on future projects. The finished design will be a combination of all ideas. Thank you to Mrs Careless Jones for bringing the group over!
This year our Remembrance Service was led by our Worship Team, they were amazing and all of the children showed respect during the two minute silence.
Every year we enjoy the Live Music Event performed by Shropshire Music Service. This year we learnt about string and wind instruments and listened to some fantastic music.
Random pupil is an opportunity for children from each year group to talk about their work. They can share any pieces of work across all subjects and discuss what they have enjoyed or found challenging.

To celebrate National Poetry Day, the children in Years 2 - 6 participated in an online workshop with Ian Bland. We listened to and joined in with some of Ian's poems and learnt how to write a puzzle poem of our own.
Last week was such a busy week for sport. We had a ten pin bowling competition where everyone played brilliantly and we even entered the 100 club by getting a top score! Then we moved onto football later in the week and we played brilliantly as a team and scored lots of great goals. Finally it was cross country. We only had two runners but they ran so well in very big races! Well done everyone!
