Our first Lego club was a huge success and lots of fun. It was lovely to see the children working creatively together to make their models.
The children had a great time today taking part in the London Mini Marathon. They completed 11 laps of the track which is equivalent to 2 miles, an impressive achievement especially in the heat. Well done everyone.
Well done to the children who represented the school at a football tournament. Such an achievement to come first.
The children enjoyed some crafting in the sun at the new Pop Up Messy Church. Keep an eye out for the date for the next one so you can join the fun.
Our fantastic PTA have been busy again ensuring that the children at Cockshutt have many opportunities. They have cleared out the old equipment from the PE shed and replaced it with lots of new resources. They just have the small task of building it all. Thank you to all the members of the PTA, it is very much appreciated.
Art club have been busy looking at Jackson Pollock. We made our own versions of his splat art, getting only a little on our shoes!
I love how creative our nursery staff are. They have created this wonderful wall of music outside for the children to enjoy.
The children in cross stitch club are really getting the hang of this sewing skill. Some are creating their own patterns and some are following a pattern. I am looking forward to seeing the final piece.
British Science Week was introduced today with online activities based around the theme ‘Change and Adapt’. Next week the children will complete science activities daily. Have a look on the class pages to find out what the children have been learning about.
Tonight was the first session of art club and I was blown away by the talented artists who came! We looked at Andy Warhol and pop art technqiues to reacreate our own portraits.They were amazing!
