The children really embraced our ‘Break the Rules day’ we had coloured hair, tattoos, pyjamas, makeup and crazy hairstyles. It was a lot of fun and we raised an amazing £166 for Children in Need.
Oak class had the brilliant experience today. They were part of an online workshop led by the well known author, Jacqueline Wilson.
It is always amazing when the children are involved in community events. Some children from Oak class contributed towards the stunning poppy waterfall created by members of the community. They were even part of an interview with Shropshire radio, very exciting.
I am pleased to share that we have received a certificate for completing the NSPCC Speak out Stay safe with all of the children.
We are pleased to announce that we will be holding an Open Morning on the 21st November. This is a great opportunity to come an see the school in action.
The children in KS2 had the opportunity to work with Sarah Wynne, the author of Murder in Velvet and Dogs of Doom. During the workshop they became authors themselves with some creative writing.
I always enjoy spending time talking to the children about their learning. This week I focused on English, the children selected for pupil voice talked with enthusiasm about the work they had completed this half term.
The whole school enjoyed our Big Draw Day, where we spent the day looking at the work of Banksy and creating some of our own pieces in the same style.
Little Chestnut had a wonderful time at Winston Farm pumpkin patch this morning. We explored the pumpkin patch, picked our favourites and went back to the cosy cabin where the Winston Farm team supplied us with hot chocolates for story time! The children were amazing!
The children I took to ‘This Girl Can’ were amazing today. They had the opportunity to try new sports such as squash, boccia, boxing and archery. They tried each new sport with enthusiasm and determination. Well done.
