  • Builder Chris.

Tue 24 Mar 2026 Lauren Rogers

Builder Chris came to visit us today. He taught us so many skills and even bought us hardhats to keep us safe on site! We did bricklaying, hammering and used spanners with nuts and bolts. We had a look at all of the tools he uses and we saw some building plans too. It was so much fun and he very kindly left us the materials to keep on using our skills in class to continue our building journey!

  • Diary of a Disciple

    Fri 20 Mar 2026

This week our year 5 and 6 children took part in an inspiring RE workshop all about the disciples—who they were, what they stood for, and the incredible journeys they went on as followers of Jesus. The Diary of a Disciple theme brought their stories to life in a fun, creative, and thoughtful way.

It was wonderful to see our pupils so engaged, curious, and enthusiastic. A fantastic afternoon of learning and discovery!

  • Library Van Visit

    Thu 05 Mar 2026

    Library Van Adventure!

Our nursery children had such an exciting afternoon visiting the community library van, which pops by every two weeks! The children loved returning their books and choosing brand new stories to take back to class.

They couldn’t wait to share their new books with their friends — lots of smiles, curiosity and wonderful conversations about their choices. Moments like these help spark a lifelong love of reading, and we’re so grateful to have this brilliant service in our community.

  • World Book Day

๐Ÿ“šโœจ Happy World Book Day! โœจ๐Ÿ˜ด

Today our school was filled with cosy vibes as we celebrated World Book Day with this year’s theme: Bedtime Stories!

The children came to school in their snuggly pyjamas, clutching their favourite bedtime books to share with their friends. It was wonderful seeing the excitement as they talked about the stories they love drifting off to. ๐Ÿ’›

From classic tales to new favourites, the day was a perfect reminder of how magical bedtime reading can be — sparking imaginations, building memories, and ending each day with a little adventure. ๐ŸŒ™๐Ÿ“–

A huge thank you to our pupils, families, and staff for making the day so special. ๐Ÿฅฐ

  • A Special Visit

    Fri 30 Jan 2026

๐Ÿฆ Ozzy the Lion & Ffraidy the Dragon Visit Our School! ๐Ÿ‰

We had an exciting Monday as Ozzy the Lion and Ffraidy the Dragon from The New Saints Football Club came to school to introduce their brilliant Active 5 programme!

Active 5 is all about encouraging children to take part in quick, fun bursts of physical activity — either in school or at home with their parents and carers. The mascots told us all about how staying active helps our bodies, our minds, and our overall wellbeing.

To put it into action, the whole school joined in and completed five different exercises, each for one minute, right alongside Ozzy and Ffraidy! There was so much energy, laughter, and enthusiasm in the hall — a fantastic way to get everyone moving.

A huge thank you to The New Saints FC for inspiring us to stay active every day! โšฝ๐Ÿ’š

  • A Huge Thank You to Eastwick Garden Centre!

    Fri 30 Jan 2026

Our One Voice team has been hard at work creating a sustainable wildlife area, and we’re thrilled to share some wonderful news! After writing letters to local businesses, the group received an incredibly generous donation from Eastwick Garden Centre — including compost, bird boxes, seeds, and a variety of beautiful plants.

These resources will make a huge difference as we continue to build a welcoming space for local wildlife and a calm, ecoโ€‘friendly environment for everyone to enjoy.

Thank you, Eastwick Garden Centre, for supporting our school project and helping us bring our ideas to life!

  • Book Club. Today was the first group meeting of our book club. We chatted about the books we liked and some members of the club gave book reviews and then moved on to choosing our first book. Esio Trot was the winner. We look forward to reading and discussing this in the next couple of weeks. The group was also tasked with thinking of a book club name and using some lovely alliteration decided on:The Library Ladies'. They were sent of with the task of designing a group logo that we can proudly wear as badges in the future. Alongside reading and discussing books we will also be tackling the library area. We plan to set up a little book library so we can swap books, have book of the week station and celebrate 2026 as the year of reading!
